Artists as 2nd Responders Awards
"First responders save lives; second responders help put people's lives back together. Artists are essential workers in our society and our economy, helping us recover, reflect, and rebuild." - Californians for the Arts
At the 2021 Inland Empire State of the Arts Summit, the San Bernardino and Riverside Arts Councils in partnership with Music Changing Lives, recognized the work of artists and organizations who served their communities as 2nd responders during the pandemic.

Award recipients included Rose Mayes, the Inlandia Institute, Mon Petit Mojave, Tula B. Strong, Ana Rodrigues, and James Coates.
